Which Disciplines at Which Meetings in 2024?
The Allianz Memorial Van Damme will be the grand final of the Wanda Diamond League in 2024, which means that Brussels will see a unique two-day event featuring all 32 WDL disciplines. The 14 qualifying meetings can each host 14 disciplines in one day. Those disciplines have now been announced.
Allianz to stay on as Allianz Memorial Van Damme Title Partner until 2028
Insurer Allianz and the Memorial Van Damme are extending their partnership for another four years. The partnership has been in place since 2021 and initially applied for four years, up to and including the next edition in 2024. Now both parties have extended the title partnership for another four years and the Memorial will thus remain the Allianz Memorial Van Damme until 2028.
Wanda Diamond League 2024 starts in China on April 20, final on September 13 and 14 in Brussels
In 2024 the Allianz Memorial Van Damme will host the Final of the Wanda Diamond League that comprises the biggest athletics meetings in the world. Athletes can qualify for the Final through 14 meetings, the first of which will be held in China on April, 20th.

Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen broke the 24-year-old 2000 metres World Record at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme in Brussels on Friday night. 4:43.13 is the new top time.
Jackson Runs Fourth Fastest 200m of All Time, Duplantis Over 6m10, Bol Also Spoils the Crowd
Apart from Jakob Ingebrigtsen's World Record in the 2000 metres, there were plenty of records and top performances worth mentioning at the 47th Allianz Memorial Van Damme. Shericka Jackson ran the fourth fastest 200 metres in history as well as a new Meeting Record. Mondo Duplantis also set a Meeting Record in pole vaulting as did Femke Bol in the 400-metre hurdles.
Bolingo shines in Track Lap, Verheyden beats 27-year-old Belgian Record
26 Belgians got to show off in front of a home crowd on Friday night at the 47th Allianz Memorial Van Damme. Just like last year, Cynthia Bolingo provided the Belgian performance of the evening: in the 400 metres Wanda Diamond League race, the Brussels athlete exploded to victory in a very good time. Ruben Verheyden broke the 27-year-old Belgian Record in the 2000 metres.
Paralympic World Champion Jong Jumps Sensational World Record
Each year, the Allianz Memorial Van Damme also sees some of the world’s best G-Sport athletes in action. Fleur Jong, the Paralympic World Champion in the long jump (class T64), competed with able-bodied athletes on Friday evening. The Dutch athlete performed incredibly well and jumped as far as able-bodied World Champion Ivana Vuleta. 6m74 is a new Paralympic World Record!
