Olympic Queen of Athletics McLaughlin-Levrone is coming to Brussels!
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, the absolute athletics star of the Paris Olympics, is coming to the Allianz Memorial Van Damme! It’s a unique opportunity for athletics fans worldwide, as it will be her only meeting after Paris. She will run a unique double with the 400m on Friday and the 200m on Saturday.

Op zaterdag 31 augustus organiseerde de Stichting ENGIE in samenwerking met de Allianz Memorial Van Damme en de Stad Brussel een inclusieve atletiekinitiatie voor Brusselse kinderen. In aanwezigheid van Kim Gevaert, directeur van de Memorial en olympisch kampioen, en Vincent Verbeke, CEO van ENGIE Belgium, kwamen 130 jongeren tussen 6 en 12 jaar samen om verschillende atletiekdisciplines uit te proberen.
Sha’Carri Richardson will also shine at the Diamond League Final
Flamboyant American World 100m Champion and Olympic 100m Silver Medalist will be part of the Allianz Memorial Van Damme. She has announced that she wants to compete in both the 100m on Friday and the 200m on Saturday.
Three times Olympic Gold Medal Winner Faith Kipyegon confirmed
The list of Olympic Gold Medal Winners appearing in Brussels becomes all the time more impressive. Today Faith Kipyegon, Olympic Champion and fastest woman in the World on the 1500m has been added to the field. Three more Gold Medal Winners from Paris have also signed up.

Another highlight lures at the horizon after the phenomenal athletics competition at the Olympic Games in Paris : the Wanda Diamond League Final at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme on Sep. 20th and 21st. A number of Gold Medal winners have already confirmed to appear and will be on the track of the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels in a months time.
Femke Bol is coming back at Allianz Memorial Van Damme
Good news for the Belgian fans of athletics : Femke Bol will also be present this year at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme that is taking place on Sep., 13 and 14th. The world class Dutch athletes will be closing the competition weekend in the 400m Hurdles. The Belgian Tornadoes and the Belgian Cheetahs will also be offered an occasion to shine in front of their home crowd.

The 48th Allianz Memorial Van Damme, on Friday Sep., 13th and Saturday Sep., 14th in the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels presents itself as the most special edition ever. For the first time in its history, the meeting will be held in two days and for the first time all 16 events for Men and Women in the Wanda Diamond League will be held in Brussels. Being the Final of the Wanda Diamond League means that all the best athletes of the current season will be on the infield. Most of the Olympic Medal Winners will be on the Startlists and the participation of 6 actual World Champions is already confirmed.
Paralympic high performers also present
Some of the World’s best Paralympic athletes will also be present just five days after the closure of the Paralympic Games, as a continuous priority of the Allianz Memorial Van Damme.

Apart from the Diamond Trophy’s that will be handed to the winners (16 Men, 16 Women) of the Wanda Diamond League Final, the Wanda Diamond League will for the first time hand out Jesse Owens Rising Star Awards. The best U23 athletes Men and Women in the Diamond League season will win the Trophy that is meant to boost their careers.
