Fast races from Thompson, De Grasse and Miller-Uibo in Rabat

Elaine Thompson (100 meter), Andre De Grasse (200 meter), Shaunae Miller-Uibo (400 meter), Ryan Crouser (Shot Put), Nijel Amos (800 meter)and Soufiane El Bakkali (3000 meter steeple) were impressive at the Diamond League Meeting in Rabat. They will all be present at the AG Memorial Van Damme on Sep. 1st.

55 athletes already qualified for Brussels Diamond League Final

148 athletes will be competing in 16 events on Friday Sep. 1st at the AG Memorial Van Damme in the IAAF Diamond League Final. 55 athletes have already qualified, amongst them are Philip Milanov (Discus Throw), Elaine Thompson (Olympic 100m Champion) and Mariya Lasitskene (sensational in the High Jump this year). In the next 3 legs of the IAAF Diamond League 93 tickets for the Final are still on offer.

Imana Truyers presents Thousand Hills of Hope

Each year the AG Memorial Van Damme supports a charity project. This year “Thousand Hills of Hope” was chosen. It is an exceptionally interesting project from Imana Truyers in the country of her birth Ruanda.

Milanov third at London DL, Elaine Thompson qualifies for Brussels Final

Philip Milanov finished in third in the Discus Throw at the London Diamond League Meeting. Nigel Amos (800m) and Allyson Felix (400m) set World Leading Performances. Elaine Thompson won the Women’s 100m and qualifies for the big DL-Final in Brussels.

Thiam third in Long Jump at Antwerp Groenplaats

Antwerp Groenplaats (Green Square) next tot he cathedra land the Rubens statue was the scenic setting for a Long Jump competition in the AG Urban Memorial Van Damme Series. Nafi Thiam returned to competition with a decent performance of 6.49m.

Van Niekerk and Lasitskene break Diamond League Records in Lausanne

Wayde Van Niekerk was impressive at the Lausanne Diamond League Meeting. He clocked 43”62 in the 400m and set a new Diamond League Record and a World Leading pefromance. Mariya Lasitskene did the same in the Women’s High Jump : she crossed the bar at 2.06m and comfortably leads the #RoadToBrussels.

Convincing win for Thompson in Paris, Bett deserves his ticket for Brussels

Elaine Thompson convincingly won the 100m Diamond Race in Paris. The Olympic Champion made a strong bid on her #RoadToBrussels. Kipyegon Bett assured his ticket for Brussels while finishing second in the 800m.

Milanov close to Belgian Record

At the Diamond League meeting of Stockholm Philip Milanov came very close to beating his own Belgian discus record. His 67m05 was his best throw of the season. Kevin Borlée was third on the 400m in 45.47, 0.14 shy of the minimum time for the world championships.
