Felix equals Bolt and Ottey
Allyson Felix won the bronze medal at the World Championships in London. The American now joins Jamaicans Usain Bolt and Merlene Ottey as the most be-medalled competitors at the WC, with a tally of 14 medals. And there are still 2 relay events to come in London. Felix will also be present at the AG Memorial Van Damme on Sep. 1st.
World Championships Top 3 in 3000m steeplechase on show in Brussels
Conseslus Kipruto won the 3000m steeplechase at the WC in london. The 22 year old Kenyan was still uncertain to compete due to an ankle injury, but he did win in 8’14”12. Moroccon Soufiane El Bakkali came in second in 8’14”49. Evan Jager from the USA who holds the World Leading performance with 8’01”29 had to settle for bronze in 8’15”53. The top 3 of this strong event will be on show in Brussels at the AG Memorial Van Damme.
World Champion Faith Kipyegon at Memorial
Faith Kipyegon won the 1500m at the World championships in Athletics in London. The 23 year old Kenyan can be admired on Sep. 1st at the AG Memorial Van Damme.
Thiam wins first ever World Championships gold for Belgium!
Never before in the World Championship’s history since 1983 a Belgian athlete won a gold medal. And then came Nafi Thiam in London. On Sep. 1st the World and Olympic Heptathlon Champion will compete at the AG Memorial Van Damme in her favourite event, the High jump.

Athletes to watch at World Championships and at Memorial !
No less than 87 athletes already qualified for the Final of the IAAF Diamond League at the AG Memorial Van Damme on Sep., 1st in Brussels. 79 out of them will also compete at the World Championships in Athletics in London.
Triathlon with Thomas Van der Plaetsen at Memorial
For the first time in the history of the AG Memorial Van Damme a combined event is on the meeting program. A triathlon with Shot Put, Long Jump and 110m Hurdles will be held. Thomas Van der Plaetsen and Niels Pittomvils will face a selection of international multiple eventers.
Five World Leading Performances at Monaco Diamond League
Two weeks before the start of the World Championships in Athletics in London no less than 5 World Leading Performances were set at the Diamond League in Monaco. Elijah Manangoi, Emmanuel Korir, Caster Semenya, Hellen Obiri and Evan Jager showed extraordinary form. Usain Bolt broke the 10 seconds barrier for the first time this year in his last 100m Diamond Race.
Bolt’s farewell to the Diamond League in Monaco
The Monaco Herculis Meeting will be Usain Bolt’s farewell to the IAAF Diamond League. At a press conference he spoke to the journalists in his own familiar way.
