50th Allianz Memorial Van Damme ends with 14 Meeting Records
The second evening of the 50th Allianz Memorial Van Damme was, if possible, even more impressive than the first. Following Friday’s six meeting records, a further eight were added on Saturday. Credit goes to Audrey Werro, Alison dos Santos, Masai Russell and others, who were crowned Wanda Diamond League Champions with top times. Four world-leading performances were also recorded on day two.
World Champion Bayekula unbeatable in her hometown Brussels
Just like last year at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme, Léa Bayekula secured Belgian success in the wheelchair event. In addition, on the second evening of the Memorial, nine more Belgians competed in various Wanda Diamond League finals, including Nafi Thiam and Delphine Nkansa.
Average Rob witnesses USA become World Champion in Turbo Sprint
Average Rob provided a fun interlude on the second evening of the Allianz Memorial Van Damme. Belgium’s most popular content creator had the King Baudouin Stadium rocking with his Turbo Sprint. Twenty-eight content creators from six countries competed for the unofficial world title in the 4x100-metre mixed relay for content creators.

Karalis: "I am living my dreams"
No Mondo Duplantis, but Manolo Karalis. The Greek athlete won the Wanda Diamond League final at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme with a jump of 6.12 metres, thereby breaking the meeting record set by the absent Swede. "I’m living my dreams."

On the opening night of the 50th Allianz Memorial Van Damme, the first 16 Wanda Diamond League Champions of 2026 were crowned. This was accompanied by no fewer than six meeting records, two Wanda Diamond League records and a world-leading performance of the year. Manolo Karalis wowed the crowd with a magnificent jump of 6.12 metres, thereby dethroning the Greek pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis as the meeting record holder.
