New Diamond League Record for Daniel Stahl
The Road to the Final has taken off with the Diamond League in Doha. In Qatar 10 events were on the meeting program of which the Final will be held in Brussels.
Road to the Final starts next Friday in Doha
Next Friday May, 3rd the 10th season of the IAAF Diamond League kicks off in Doha. In Qatar the athletes can earn points on their road to the IAAF Diamond League Final in Brussels on September, 6th.

The AG Memorial Van Damme on September 6 will be the last chance for our Belgian athletes to qualify for the IAAF world championships in Doha. We will present six rising Belgian track and field stars on their possible road to Doha during the upcoming weeks. Jonathan Sacoor is our fourth Rising Star. The U20 400m world champion is considered to be one of the biggest talents ever in Belgium. Can he repeat last year’s craziness in 2019?
Rising Stars – Elise Vanderelst: “Want to be at my very best in Gävle and Doha”
The AG Memorial Van Damme on September 6 will be the last chance for our Belgian athletes to qualify for the IAAF world championships in Doha. We will present six rising Belgian track and field stars on their possible road to Doha during the upcoming weeks. Elise Vanderelst is our third Rising Star and ran a brilliant 1500m at last year’s Memorial and now looks ahead of what might become her most exciting summer ever.

Maybe they can use the Memorial as their last big test towards the world championships. Renée Eykens turns 23 this year and is one of the greatest 800m talents ever in our country.

We will present six rising Belgian track and field stars on their possible road to Doha during the upcoming weeks. Maybe they can use the Memorial as their last big test towards the world championships. Michael Obasuyi is a 19 year old 110m hurdles specialist.
New stadium for 'Golden Generation'
The Organising Committees of the Memorial Van Damme and of the Royal Belgian Football Federation have joined forces to find a solution for the King Baudouinstadium. They both agreed on the intention to provide to the actual generation of high performance sportsmen and their exceptional fans what they deserve: a modern temple of sports.
Diamond League Finals to be staged in Brussels in 2019
The AG Memorial Van Damme will again stage the Final of the IAAF Diamond League in 2019. The Finals in the different events have been allocated to either Zürich or Brussels. 16 Finals will be held in Zürich on August, 30th, The 16 remaining Finals will be staged in Brussels on September, 6th.

Coleman, Barega and Ibarguen star at AG Memorial Van Damme
The 42nd edition of the AG Memorial Van Damme in Brussels decided over 15 finals in the IAAF Diamond League. In a packed King Baudouin Stadium Christian Coleman, Selemon Barega and Caterine Ibarguen starred with glittering performances.
