Op donderdag 18 augustus nodigde ENGIE, als partner van de Allianz Memorial Van Damme, 64 jonge vluchtelingen uit voor een professionele atletiekinitiatie in het Koning Boudewijnstadion in Brussel. Een mooie gelegenheid voor hen om enkele disciplines uit te proberen.

Lots of medallists from he World and European Championships have confirmed their appearance at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme on Friday Sep., 2nd. The Women’s 100m Hurdles and the Men’s 400m Hurdles are taking further shape. In the Women’s Javelin Throw all three Oregon medallists will be on the infield.
Two appearances for Bolingo
Cynthia Bolingo will compete in the 400m at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme on Sep., 2nd. The fastest Belgian on the distance also hosts a seminar on diversity and inclusion in sports, an initiative of which she is the driving force.

Jackie Joyner-Kersee twice won the Long Jump in Brussels, but most of all she is the double Olympic Heptathlon Champion and holds the World Record in the challenging event since 34 years with breathtaking 7291 points.

Some important names have been added to the field in the Men’s Pole Vault at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme.
