The World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) is encouraging all countries to organise an annual Play True Day. Belgium's four national anti-doping agencies - those of the three regions and the regional commission of Brussels - are working together with the BOIC (Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Comittee), the AISF (Association Interfédérale du Sport Francophone), VSF (Flemish Sports Federation) and the Sportrat der Deutschsprachigen Gemeinschaft. Together they are organising an awareness campaign across all sports disciplines about doping-free sport under the banner 'PLAY TRUE DAY'.
The campaign will kick off at Friday's AG Memorial Van Damme. “As the organisers of the IAAF Diamond League season finale we are excited to take part in a call for a cleaner sport,” says meeting director Cédric Van Branteghem. “We are delighted to host the ministers and presidents of the partner federations who are continuing their engagement to fight together against doping."
Former athlete Kim Gevaert is the ambassador of 'PLAY TRUE DAY’ and will help spread this valuable message.
