On the final day of the World Championships Yaroslava Mahuchikh won gold for Ukraine in the High Jump. Jacob Ingebrigtsen took revenge on his disappointing 1500m race that only brought him silver as the pre-event favourite. In the 5000m final he didn’t let the gold medal slip away from him. In Brussels the Norvegian has announced an attack at the 2000m World record. Kenyan Mary Moraa secured 800m gold while Winfred Yavi from Bahrein did the same in the 3000m Steeplechase.
A sensational final straight from Femke Bol earned the 4 x 400m relay team from the Netherlands the World title. Earlier in the tournament Femke Bol was already crowned the 400m Hurdles World Champion, the event in which she will compete at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme. But also Lieke Klaver, Cathelijn Peeters and Evelien Saalberg from the Dutch gold winning relay team will be part of the action in Brussels on Sep., 8th.
More World Champions in Brussels will be Mondo Duplantis (Pole Vault), Shericka Jackson (200m) and Haruka Kitaguchi (Javelin Throw).
