In 2021 Duplantis set a new Meeting Record with a 6,05m clearance and made thrilling World Record attempts at 6,19m. Excitement will be assured with Duplantis on the infield !
Duplantis also literally heads the event, as he is being pictured prominently on all the visuals of the 46th Brussels Meeting that was presented officially this Wednesday May, 4th. A huge billboard with Duplantis can be admired in the last days before the meeting on the wall of the Double Tree by Hilton Brussels City (official Meeting hotel), facing the Botanic Gardens.
The Men’s Pole Vault is part of the official Wanda Diamond League program of the 46th Allianz Memorial Van Damme. Other Men’s DL-events are the 200m, 800m, 5000m, 400m Hurdles, Shot Put and Triple Jump. De Women’s DL-events are the 100m, 400m, 1500m, 100m Hurdles, 3000m Steeplechase, High Jump and Javelin Throw.
Beside Duplantis many more international athletics stars will be announced in the next weeks. The meeting organisers are aiming to sign as many World and European Championships medallists from Eugene and Munich to compete in the King Baudouin Stadium.
