Bolingo Embracing Diversity is an initiative from Golazo that is sponsored by its ambassador Cynthia Bolingo. The organiser of the Allianz Memorial Van Damme wants to create a movement around diversity to emphasize all the positive aspects of diversity.
Sport unites. During competition and after the competition. Sports is also an ideal channel to create awareness. Golazo is a company that is active in sports and we want to create connection and mutual understanding. Golazo wants to unite people and bring them closer to each other, no matter what their background, their ancestry or their philosophy are.
Golazo CEO Bob Verbeeck explicitly wants to embrace diversity. “People are still too much emphasizing differences in sexe, ancestry, skin colour, religion or sexual preference. That is pernicious and destructive, not only for the victims but to all of us and for the society. We should celebrate and embrace diversity. Cynthia Bolingo is the perfect ambassador to promote this. Cynthia has always been advocating love and respect for each other and “bolingo” means “love” in the Congolese language Lingala. With this movement Golazo wants to highlight the love for one another and the love for the unknown.”
Athlete Cynthia Bolingo didn’t hesitate a second when she was asked to become the ambassador of the initiative. “This initiative stands for who I am. Why not try to realise in practice what I’m preaching on social media ? In my life I have met so many different people from different backgrounds. Often people with a completely different way of living than mine. Precisely through these contacts I became the person that I am now and I learned to respect the other.”
