Leading performance of 10.85. Blessing Okagbare from Nigeria (10.90) and Olympic Champion Elaine Thompson from Jamaica (10.93) finished in second and third.
Mutaz Essa Barshim produced a World Leading performance in front of his home crowd. The Qatarian crossed a bar at 2.40m in the High Jump and won the event ahead of Eddin Majd Ghazal from Syria (2.33m) and Donald Thomas from the Bahamas (2.30m).
In the Discus Throw Cubans Yaime Perez (66.82m) and Denia Caballero (63.80m) were no threat for Croatian Sandra Perkovic who set an impressive Meeting record and a Diamond League record of 71.38m.
Caster Semenya confirmed her status as a race favourite in the 1500m. The South African won in a national record of 3.59.92 ahead of Kenyan Nelly Jepkosgei (4:00.99) and Ethiopian Habitam Alemu (4:01.41). The 100m Hurdles were dominated by the Americans. Kendra Harrison won the event in 12.53 while Brianna McNeal (12.58) and Sharika Nelvis (12.75) took the nearest honours. Dutchwoman Nadine Visser came in 7th in 12.94.
The men’s 800m was dominated by Kenyan Emmanuel Kipkurui Korir in 1.45.21 ahead of his compatriots Elijah Motonei Manangoi (1:45.60) and Nicholas Kiplangat Kipkoech (1:46.51).
The highlight of the evening was the 400m Hurdles in which local hero Abderrahman Samba stormed to win 47.57, a Diamond League record and the fastest time in the world in the last 8 years.
The Javelin Throw was the most thrilling of all events. For the first time in history three men threw further than 90m and on top of that they were all compatriots. Thomas Röhler from Germany won the event with 91.78m, Johannes Vetter (91.56m) and Andreas Hoffmann (90.08m) were narrowly beaten into 2nd and 3rd.
In the 3000m Kenyan Caroline Kipkirui set a World Lead in the 3000 meter. The clock stopped at 8.29.05. Other World Leads were set by Sandi Morris in the Pole Vault (4.84m) and by the other American Noah Lyles in the 200m (19.83).
