The 21 year old Richardson is one of the rising stars in international athletics. The American appeared in the headlines at first in 2019. At the National Collegiate Championships (NCAA) she set a new 100m World Junior Record in 10”75.
From then on Richardson’s star kept on rising and in April 2021 she ran 10”72, which is the 6th all time 100m performance and she became the 4th fastest American athlete ever. In the 200m she already set 22”00 last year.
The new sprint sensation did not compete at the Tokyo Olympic Games, but she will certainly be extra motivated to shine in the 200m at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme.
