The Allianz Memorial Van Damme is part of the Wanda Diamond League – a series of the best athletics meetings in the world – and it will take place on Friday September, 3rd. The Allianz Memorial Van Damme will be one of the last big international athletics events of 2021, with many great stars from the Tokyo Olympics to attend.
After the exceptional edition in 2020 – in a customized format due to the coronacrisis but still registering 4 World Records – there will again be 14 events on the meeting program in the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, including the 100m and the Pole Vault Men and the High Jump Women.
Meeting Director Cédric Van Branteghem: “It is an honor for us that Allianz has committed itself as a title partner for the next 4 years, which will allow us to move forward. We hope that our event in September will be a marvellous celebration of sports. More than ever before we will try to link history and tradition with innovation while staging this event.”
Allianz is a world leader in insurances and financial services, with a presence in more than 70 countries and with more than 147.000 staff serving 100 million customers.
