The 25-year-old sprinter from Saint Lucia was also unbeatable at the WDL meetings in Rome and London. Alfred is unbeaten in the seven races (four 200-metre and three 100-metre events) she has run this year. In Brussels, she will line up as the clear favourite for the 200 metres on Friday 4 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two years ago, a few weeks after becoming the Paris Olympic Champion in the 100 metres and Olympic silver medallist in the 200 metres, Alfred was crowned Diamond League Champion in the 100 metres in Brussels. She repeated that feat last year in Zurich. This year in Brussels, she could secure a third Diamond League title in total \u2013 her first in the 200 metres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tobi Amusan already has three Diamond League titles to her name. The 29-year-old Nigerian was the Diamond League Champion in the 100-metre hurdles in 2021, 2022 and 2023. At the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, she set the world record at 12.12. Amusan is in excellent form again this year, having secured victory at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Paris with a top time of 12.28.
