Ivo Van Damme used to train on the track that once ran around the football pitch of what is now OHL. For his off-track training sessions, he would set off from there through what is now the Sportkot, sometimes venturing further into the Meerdaal Forest. The Memorial Run follows part of that training route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The start and finish are at the Arenberg Sports Campus (Sportkot) on Tervuursevest in Leuven. Between 9.00 am and 10.00 am, everyone is free to start at their own pace. The 5 km route runs via the Arenberg Campus to the Egenhove Forest. Participants then return to the Sports Campus track via the banks of the Dijle and Arenberg Castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A maximum of 1,500 runners can take part in the Memorial Run on Sunday 23 August. Registration is now open on https:\/\/allianzmemorialvandamme.be\/memorial-run\/<\/a> and costs \u20ac19, but this amount will be fully refunded upon purchase of a ticket for the 50th Allianz Memorial Van Damme. Every runner will also receive a unique Memorial Run medal at the finish line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anyone wishing to immerse themselves fully in the atmosphere of the 50th edition of the Memorial can also purchase a high-quality T-shirt from the Official 50th Edition collection when registering for the Memorial Run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
