Yohan Blake joins Usain Bolt in Brussels

After Usain Bolt signed up to compete at the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme, World Champion, friend and rival Yohan Blake will be joining his compatriot.

The organisers of the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme are proud to announce that they are now the first of all IAAF Diamond League meetings to include both world class sprinters from Jamaica.

Yohan Blake is known as one of the highest performing athletes in the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme. His phenomenal 19”26 in the 2011 200m, still the second fastest time ever on the distance, remains a milestone in the history of the meeting and in the memories of the audience.

In 2012 Blake confirmed with an excellent winning time in the 200m of 19”52. Blake was also extremely charming and engaged at last year’s Kids Clinic and earns a growing support amongst the Belgian athletics fans.
